Resolutions

As I get my cluttered house in order, my mind wanders to my "inner" clutter.

Yes. Usually I'm as disorganized as my house is.

But on Sunday I did some retrospective thinking. And I really felt grateful. For several reasons. And since I'm REALLY bad at remembering (ask any one of my siblings), I thought I'd take note of these, in no particular order, and get them neatly organized here. Hopefully I'll look back on them when life gets sucky (which is probably in our near future).

1. Steve's job, Steve's job, Steve's job. This one needed repeating.
2. Small, thoughtful gifts.
3. Exercise.
4. Good friends.
5. Family.
6. An almost potty-trained little boy.
7. Independent children.
8. Needy children.
9. Two weeks of 24/7 husband.
10. Texting. Yes, this one is silly. But I really AM grateful for it! I HATE talking on the phone.
11. Clean and organized rooms.
12. Gavin's movie quotes. My favorite: "They call me MISTER PIG!"
13. Play dates.
14. My mom. Sometimes I call to tell her just one thing that happened, or a question. And sometimes she calls me to ask one quick thing. We get each other. And we're very similar.
15. A new couch. After almost 9 years of hand-me-downs.
16. Music. And it's ability to bring joy and feelings of the Holy Ghost.
17. Guidance from a Heavenly Father.

This year's resolution is to take the small moments and enjoy them. To get on the floor and play millions of card games with Grace. Or crash cars with Gavin. But mostly to love my family.
