The end of Seussical Jr.

So all last week, I kept asking Aliza if she was excited to be finishing up practices and shows for Seussical Jr. Because I sure was. I couldn't go to bed without a song stuck in my head or a to-do list running through my brain.

And Aliza was thinking the same way.

Until closing night.

After five nights of shows and countless hours of practices, she was tired and needed a break. But once that curtain went down on the last show, tears started flowing. Aliza is a pretty emotional little girl to begin with, but having the director, Jolie, talk about how proud she was of everyone and what an amazing experience Seussical and been put her over the top. I could see, sitting 8 rows back from the stage, that Aliza was getting teary-eyed during Jolie's speech.

So now, four days later, we're practicing for Annie auditions. Yes, we ARE crazy, but we love it that way. And as long as Aliza is still enjoying the process, I'll stay crazy.
