Call me crazy, or just over-ambitious, cause I'm probably both. Yes, last night we had a Relief Society Birthday party that I signed up to bring a cake for. Prior to my injury, I had made a marshmallow fondant and two cakes. How could I not finish a perfectly good project and idea? Yes, I limped around for 4-5 hrs. finishing my cake, and it was beautiful. Totally worth the soreness.

Lindsay, you made the fondant yourself? Wow. Did it taste as good as it looks? I'm so impressed...and I need to bring a cake to our RS lunch next Saturday. Dare I dare to copycat? Brandy
WOW Linds! I am so impressed! That cake looks amazing. I don't think I could ever do anything like that. I'm sure yours was the best looking cake there.
Brandy, the fondant was good, as far as fondant is concerned...just marshmallow and powdered sugar. The kids couldn't eat enough of it. It's just a lot of frosting. I was telling steve that next time I'd try to thin it out even more and make a less sugary frosting to stick it to the cake. Let me know if you want recipes and stuff...I found an amazing website for it all.
Lindsay, it's Courtney Whittington (now) Wallace...one of your old roomie's from BYU! How are you doing?? That cake is AMAZING!! You are seriously ambitious, but more seriously TALENTED!! Love that cake :) Take care!
That's beautiful! I should get the recipe too. Kurt doesn't like regular frosting...so we had fondant on our wedding cake and he was in love.
Your cake is gorgeous! Awesome job, even with a crippled leg! You rock!
