Last weekend was Grace and Aliza's dance recital. They have both been practicing all year for this one day event, and several family members came to Vegas to see them perform. Grace's class is a tap/ballet, and she danced to Twist and Shout. She was so awesome during the dress rehearsal, and really had her tap number down. But it all went to pot the day of the show, which I don't really blame her for. Their dance academy put up a super huge video screen showing the dancers as they performed (which wasn't there the day before), and it was impossible for the little girls to concentrate! But the end result was cute and a good laugh, and Grace thought she was fabulous.
Aliza is in a broadway bound dance class, which explains her costume. Her class is pretty much a singing, dancing, and acting foray. They performed "Hard Knock Life" from Annie and she was front and center. What really put her over the edge was that she had a wireless microphone taped onto her, so she felt like a star! She did awesome and was the best one out there (hey, I'm not partial just cause I'm the mom :)
